TEST DRIVE MEME: The First (Fixed Setting)

TEST DRIVE MEME
HOW TO: Post with your character in what will be a fixed setting for the first round! Do a top level, respond to others! If your thread is substantial, it can be used as a first-person on your application! Remember that this is not game canon, and everyone is welcome!

You were just ushered into a large park by a murder of loud and insistent crows who somehow manage to get the gate shut behind you before they fly off. The park is awfully green for such a dead-looking town. It's dusk, and things are starting to get a little noisy at the edge of the tall iron fence that surrounds the area. There are gazebos, cobblestone pathways, gentle slopes, and of course, the lake and the island with the large, dead tree. It's full of crows, and if you stare at them, they'll all stare back. Feel free to take a load off on one of the many iron and wood benches, but the gates to the city are closed!

This does not, however, mean you are barred from ghost-watching as night progresses. Remember, they won't see you!

[Louise peaks around the trunk of the tree and gets a good look at the masked man. Her eyes flick over the smiling mask, and the grey skin.]

Great costume. Getting ready for Halloween early? [Though she sounds sarcastic while she speaks, the small smile she wears after she's done talking betrays her. It is a really cool costume.]

[His hand reached up, pushing up his mask some. Or at least adjusting how it was on his face. It was hard to tell. He looked over her for a few moments as she regards his regalia as a costume. He felt weak without being able to just have an inkling of her emotions, but the penalties inflicted by the universe were as capricious as they were brutal.]

It is not a costume. The mask is to ward evil and the suit, well.

[He looks down at it, patting a bit of the dust out.]

I haven't gotten a fresh change of clothes in a while. That I would like to fix. I'm Issikanor.

[A pause as she considers his inquiry about bartering...]

So what kind of things are you looking to trade for?

[Issikanor considered for a moment going into an overly long, melodramatic rant. But she was a simple woman, so it was best to give simple answers. Also melodrama didn't seem appropriate now.]

A crystal of mine. It's something important to my people.

[jeezlouise]

Oh yeah? What's it do?

[smilesandmusic]

It allows me to use psychic powers.

[jeezlouise]

[Her eye widen in surprise. Woah that's cool.]
Really...


What kind of powers? Teleportation!? Telekinesis!? Fire starting!!??

[He decided he'd go into detail here. Be best.]

Mostly Telekinesis and empathy powers. I was learning some more complicated powers that we call Seer Powers, which some of which allow for teleportation, but no, I never managed it myself. I'll admit I never was the best psychic until late in my life.

[jeezlouise]

[No fire starting. Lame

Louise leans against the tree trunk, arms crossed.]

Huh. So I guess it's real important you get that crystal back.

Yes. I could actually probably teach you how to use powers as well. The humans I've met are all quite natural with it.
