You were just ushered into a large park by a murder of loud and insistent crows who somehow manage to get the gate shut behind you before they fly off. The park is awfully green for such a dead-looking town. It's dusk, and things are starting to get a little noisy at the edge of the tall iron fence that surrounds the area. There are gazebos, cobblestone pathways, gentle slopes, and of course, the lake and the island with the large, dead tree. It's full of crows, and if you stare at them, they'll all stare back. Feel free to take a load off on one of the many iron and wood benches, but the gates to the city are closed!
This does not, however, mean you are barred from ghost-watching as night progresses. Remember, they won't see you!

That's a lot of blood.
A lot of blood and a very still, very pale form sprawled out on the grass. Still breathing, thankfully, though it's very ragged, shallow. And his eyes are firmly shut. Even his clothing looks like it's been ravaged.
But, if you stare at him long enough... it sure does look as if his eyes are trying to open.]
ok back now STILL SCREAMING THOUGH
[ Levi kneels down on the ground, eyebrows furrowed as he tries to survey the damage from where he is. They're not far off from the lake. If he needs to, he can go get water, but for now... ]
Can you hear me?
OOOPS??
[But he manages only a rough, choking noise, accompanied by more blood.]

[It's honestly probably easier to say what isn't damaged, rather than what is. But, at the very least, his leg, and part of his torso appear the most mangled. It's sort of amazing all his organs are in one place.]
[This time.]

[He doesn't speak, or move. He just watches him.]
html is for people who don't tag on laggy phones
... are you coherent?

Th... thr... ee.

[ He's telling him straight; he doesn't know if this guy is savable or not. ]

[Where are they?]
[He'd have asked who this man was, but that hardly seems important, for the moment.]

[He goes quiet again, for a while.]
Thank you. For... the attempt.
sorry not sorry
[ He's not moving to help. Nor does he appear to be shocked into stillness. He's simply watching the man bleed. Watching, as the man's eyes struggle to open.
[ And why wouldn't he watch? There are very few things more satisfying than watching the life fade from a human's eyes. ]
you're so kind legato
[His hand clenches in the grass, gasping raggedly as he tries hauling himself onto his elbows.]
[It would be nice if he could heal himself. Really nice.]
isn't he just?
Are you going to die?
[ The monotone voice is oddly soothing, but its complete lack of concern is undeniable. ]

[His head sort of flops back to the ground with a grunt of pain. And his voice is strained, though he still makes an effort to be polite.]
I... certainly hope not.

Why not? [ Humanity's obsession with clinging to life always disgusted him. ] Are you afraid to die?
