TEST DRIVE MEME: The First (Fixed Setting)

TEST DRIVE MEME
HOW TO: Post with your character in what will be a fixed setting for the first round! Do a top level, respond to others! If your thread is substantial, it can be used as a first-person on your application! Remember that this is not game canon, and everyone is welcome!

You were just ushered into a large park by a murder of loud and insistent crows who somehow manage to get the gate shut behind you before they fly off. The park is awfully green for such a dead-looking town. It's dusk, and things are starting to get a little noisy at the edge of the tall iron fence that surrounds the area. There are gazebos, cobblestone pathways, gentle slopes, and of course, the lake and the island with the large, dead tree. It's full of crows, and if you stare at them, they'll all stare back. Feel free to take a load off on one of the many iron and wood benches, but the gates to the city are closed!

This does not, however, mean you are barred from ghost-watching as night progresses. Remember, they won't see you!

[The benches in this park are terrible for sleeping on. He's slept in some pretty terrible places before, but those benches? Man, he could not get comfortable. This tree down by the lake though, this was nice. He'd gotten rid of what few rocks were laying in the grass and now, he was just about ready for snoozeville.]

[Except there was this guy lurking around, and well that was just bugging him]

[ Levi stops dead in his tracks when he hears the voice to his left, though he does little more than move his eyes to settle a cold glare on the source of the sound. No, this wouldn't be home, would it? Not if someone is honestly willing to talk to him like that. ]

[ He's still not moving. Just staring, quietly challenging Grif to keep running his mouth. ]

[If Grif stopped talking the first time someone gave him a dirty look, he wouldn't be Minor Junior Private Negative First Class Dexter Grif. Which wasn't a real rank anyway.]

Yeah, I'm talking to you! Go away! Some of us are trying to sleep!

[ For most people Levi's size, a lack in weaponry would mean a lack of intimidation factor. Levi himself, however, begs to differ on this fact. ]

[ He approaches Grif slowly, calmly, and only stops once he's invaded the personal space bubble and is within arm's reach. Or leg's reach, really. ]

Do you have any information on this place, or are you just as lost as the rest of us, and see it fit to run your disgusting mouth anyway?

[backed against a tree, on his ass, with someone looming menacingly over him, and no methods of retreat. This would be about the time when a smart person stopped talking, but Grif was never really good at listening]

Tch, do I look like I know anything about this place? I said I'm trying to sleep, not go on a haunted mansion murder mystery tour.

Then would like a sleep aid?

[ The 5'3 dude in a poncho is about to whoop your ass, Grif. ]

[Okay, now the warning bells are going off and he really should have listened to them sooner]

[he crosses his legs, hands covering his crotch] Hehn... don't hit me!

[ Levi lifts his head, looking down his nose at Grif. ]

You really think I would start there?

Dude, after what I've been through, I am not taking any chances. Do you know what it's like to be punched in the balls by three people at once? [he cringes at the memory, pressing his legs together harder] I'm pretty sure I'm never having children ever.

[beyblade]

[ Levi's nose wrinkles as if he's just smelled something foul. ]

Well, that's a relief.

Says you. I'm sure science would find a way, somehow. That's what science does, after all.

How many times a day do your peers tell you to shut the fuck up?

Yeah, I gotta say, my record for not doing what I'm supposed to is pretty outstanding. I work hard to keep it that way, I'm super proud of it.
